What is pelvic health occupational therapy (OT)?
An occupational therapist guides clients in finding more ease and satisfaction in daily life. A pelvic health occupational therapist has specialized training in assessment and treatment of various pelvic conditions and life transitions. The OT perspective is always holistic, including evaluation of psychosocial and cultural contexts in addition to a thorough consideration of the physical body.
What kinds of conditions and life transitions are you able to treat?
Urinary issues (e.g., incontinence, urgency, frequency)
Bowel issues (e.g., incontinence, constipation, stool irregularity)
Pelvic pain (and persistent hip/low back pain that hasn’t gone away with physical therapy/chiropractic)
Pain upon arousal and during/after sex
Pain, anxiety, or prior trauma with medical pelvic exam
Physical trauma or injury (e.g., fall on tailbone, sex-related injury, car accident) affecting pelvic region
Gender-affirming post-op care (e.g., post-vaginoplasty, concerns with pain or dilation)
Disconnection from pelvic region
Emotional/psychological trauma relating to the pelvis
Prenatal care & birth preparation
Postpartum care, including therapeutic ultrasound for mastitis (clogged milk ducts)
Pelvic cancer treatment & surgery post-op care (e.g., gynecological cancer, prostate cancer, radiation)
Pelvic organ prolapse
Any other condition that affects the pelvic region and its functions (i.e., elimination, organ support, and intimacy)

I don’t live in the Portland Metro area. Can I still see you?
Yes! We’re open for individualized virtual OT sessions for clients in Oregon.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! In Oregon, we’re currently in-network with:
Regence BCBS (can also bill out-of-state BCBS plans)

PacificSource: commercial (including Legacy employees) & OHP
OHSU OHP
We are sometimes able to see clients who have other insurance coverage with a physician referral. Give us a call at (503) 305-3088 to discuss your options.
If you have questions about your coverage, ask your insurance about OT services, whether in-network or out-of-network.
Insurance can be confusing and frankly, annoying. We will guide you as much as we can!
Can I see you if I don't have or don't want to use insurance?
Yes! Please reach out to inquire about cash prices.
